A Murray man has been taken into custody for allegedly threatening to kill his wife and one of his friends.

Kentucky State Police say 53-year-old Brent Allen faces a number of charges in connection to the incident, which reportedly took place at Kenlake State Park Friday night.

Officers say a call came in of a man who said he was looking for his wife and his friend while walking with a handgun. Police arrived and reportedly spotted Allen standing near the lake. He was taken to jail in Marshall County, charged with public intoxication and tampering with physical evidence, after allegedly throwing the gun into the lake. Allen was ordered to not return to Kenlake or have contact with the alleged victims. But after reportedly returning to a marina at Kenlake Saturday morning, he was arrested again, this time charged with terroristic threatening.

Allen is scheduled to appear in Marshall Circuit Court September 5.
