The Calloway County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 6:40 am, near the intersection of Highway 121 South and Allbritten Lane, south of Murray. Deputies said Jacob Wells was traveling north on Hwy. 121 when he apparently fell asleep and ran off the road.
The vehicle struck a driveway culvert, went airborne for approximately 75 feet, struck a fire hydrant and came to rest near a home.
Wells was not injured in the accident. A passenger, 19-year-old Brittany Bristoe of Murray, was not wearing her seat belt and was transported to Murray Calloway County Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
