According to the Murray Police Department, the crash happened just before 4:30 pm on Highway 641 North, near Diuguid Drive. Officers said 35-year-old Thomas Moore of Murray was traveling south when he attempted to stop after a vehicle stopped in front of him.
Police said Moore’s vehicle hydroplaned on the wet roadway and traveled across the turn lane into oncoming northbound traffic. Moore's truck was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by 67-year-old Carolyn Mercer of Kirksey.
Mercer was transported by EMS to Murray Calloway County Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
