A Calvert City woman was arrested Tuesday on drug charges after a traffic stop in Paducah, and will face charges in two counties.

McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives stopped a car on South 3rd Street near Elizabeth Street about 2:15 pm for suspicion of DUI. A brief conversation with 50-year-old Debra Reed and field sobriety tests confirmed that she was under the influence of controlled substances.

According to police, a search of Reed's purse revealed methamphetamine, a smoking pipe, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Diazepam, and marijuana. Those items were seized, along with cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. A warrant was obtained for her Calvert City home, and Marshall County Detectives helped as more methamphetamine was reportedly found, along with evidence of drug trafficking from the home.

Reed was arrested by McCracken County detectives for DUI, possession of methamphetamine 2nd offense, 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In Marshall County, Reed is facing charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, 2 charges of possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
