Car vs. Motorcycle Collision Leaves One Injured

MAYFIELD, KY - One person was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when a car and motorcycle collided in Graves County. According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened at approximately 1:40 pm on Central Road near Mayfield.

Deputies said 52-year-old Charles Holton was traveling south on Central Road and failed to see a motorcycle, operated by 23-year-old Patrick Hamlin, traveling north on Central Road. As Holton was turning left onto West Tucker Road, he turned into the path of Hamlin’s motorcycle.

Hamlin was ejected from the motorcycle and landed approximately 75 feet from the collision. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was later flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
