Chain Reaction Crash in Mayfield Leaves 3 Injured

A three-vehicle crash Thursday in Graves County left three people injured.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on US 45 North. Deputies said a vehicle driven by Timothy Johnson of Murray was stopped in traffic as road crews were putting reflectors in the center line of the roadway. Another vehicle driven by Thomas R. Davis of Paducah was behind Johnson, also stopped in traffic.

A third vehicle driven by Gary L. Cecil did not realize the traffic in front of him was stopped. Cecil hit Davis' vehicle in the rear causing Davis to hit Johnson's vehicle.

Johnson and Davis were transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Cecil was transported to Lourdes for treatment of his injuries.
