EDDYVILLE - A Chicago man found guilty in the 2016 murder of his sister has been sentenced to life behind bars.

Court records show 66-year-old Arthur Long was sentenced Monday in Lyon County Circuit Court to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 20 years. He was found guilty in November of murdering his sister, Nancy Minor, at her Lyon County home.

The investigation revealed that Minor died on Nov. 30, 2016 from multiple blunt force injuries. Police found her body the following day while conducting a welfare check at her home. Long was arrested four days later near Cookeville, Tennessee.
