A Hopkinsville man and woman were arrested Wednesday in separate investigations.

According to the Christian County Sheriff's Office, 50-year-old Lori Ann Kelly was seen by officers driving erratically on Cadiz Road and the Eagle Way Bypass. Deputies say when they attempted to pull over Kelly, she attempted to get away, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph, however she eventually ran off the road near Bradshaw Road.

Kelly reportedly resisted arrest after the vehicle was stopped, and deputies say they found a small baggie of methamphetamine in her purse. She was charged with careless driving, improper lane usage, failure to signal, speeding, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, fleeing/evading 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, assault 3rd degree, failure to wear seatbelts, no vehicle insurance, no vehicle registration receipt, driving too fast for conditions, criminal mischief 1st degree, and resisting arrest. Kelly was taken to the Christian County Jail.

In a separate case, deputies were attempting to find someone wanted on an arrest warrant, deputies visited the home of 55-year-old Allan Lehne on Quisenberry Lane. While there, officers say they saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

Lehne reportedly gave deputies consent to search the home and they say several other illegal items were found, including hydrocodone pills, methamphetamine, small plastic baggies and scales. Officers say they believe the drugs were being packaged to be sold.

Lehne was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, prescription not in proper container. Lehne was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
