Collision Sends Semi into Home, One Driver Hurt

One person was hurt Tuesday in a collision that led to at tractor-trailer running into a house.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, the accident happened about 11:30 am on West Broadway near Old Dublin Road. Officers say 62-year-old Brenda Howard of Mayfield turned from Old Dublin Road onto West Broadway, but her vehicle veered into the oncoming lane of traffic. A westbound semi tractor-trailer driven by 27-year-old Joshua Willis of Metropolis hit Howard's vehicle, left the road and ran into the side of a home. 

Police say there was nobody in the home at the time.

Howard was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of injuries she received.
