Collision on KY 121 Injures Three

An accident on KY 121 on Friday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.

According to police, 87-year-old Irvan Hendon of Nashville, TN was traveling north on KY 121 when he met a vehicle traveling south driven by 20-year-old Jennifer Hyde of Cadiz, KY.

Hendon attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Shoemaker Road, crossing into the path and colliding with Hyde.

The impact sent Hyde's vehicle off the east shoulder of the road, where it came to a final rest in the grass.

Hendon and his passenger, 87-year-old Avis Hendon, were transported to Murray- Calloway County Hospital by ambulance for treatment of injuries.

Hyde was taken by private vehicle to Murray- Calloway County Hospital for a shoulder injury.

Kentucky State Police were assisted on-scene by Murray Fire Department, Calloway County Fire & Rescue and Murray- Calloway EMS.
