Complaint Filed Over Murray State Board Gathering
MURRAY, KY - A Lexington attorney has filed a complaint over a Murray State Board of Regents gathering that he says was a violation of the state's open meetings law.
WKMS-FM reports Jim Deckard send the complaint on Thursday to board chair Constantine Curris.
Deckard cited media reports in stating that a quorum of regents gathered at the home of Sharon Green on March 14 and discussed school business. The gathering was held the evening before the board held its quarterly meeting during which it voted not to renew the contract of University President Randy Dunn despite letters of support from the school's faculty and staff.
Deckard's complaint asks that the board discuss the matters again in a meeting that is open to the public.
