According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 12:30 pm. Deputies said a vehicle was exiting from I-24 eastbound to Purchase Parkway southbound.
The vehicle, driven by Samantha Sanders of Jackson, MI, came around the curve in the construction zone, lost control and over corrected. The vehicle then struck the concrete barrier, left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on the roof.
Five occupants of the vehicle, all of Jackson, MI were injured and transported to Marshall County Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
