County Offices, Schools Closed for Miller Services

Marshall County government offices and schools will be changing their schedules to allow folks to pay their last respects to long-time County Judge-Executive Mike Miller.

According to a news release, all county offices at the Marshall County Courthouse will close at noon Thursday to allow employees to attend Miller's visitation service. The County Clerk's office will be open during regular business hours Thursday, but all county offices, including the County Clerk's office will be closed Friday for Miller's funeral.

Marshall County Schools will also be closing at 11:00 am Friday to allow students, faculty and staff to attend the service.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm Thursday at the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center, located at 416 High School Rd. in Benton. An additional visitation will be held after 10:00 am until the funeral hour on Friday.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center.

Former Gov. Paul Patton, Rep. Will Coursey, Brian Roy and Bro. Joel Frizzell will be officiating. Deputy Judge Executive Melonie Chambers will assume duties until a new Judge-Executive is elected.
