According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, on Monday detectives received a report of a burglary at a building located just west of Fancy Farm on KY Highway 80 West. A large quantity of items were reportedly stolen, including tools, computers, and other electronics.
Deputies arrived at a home near the scene of the burglary where they allegedly found all of the items that had been reported stolen, as well as illegal drugs.
Detectives spoke with 36-year-old Donald S. Fannin and 27-year-old Melissa K. Russum at the home, and both reportedly admitted to burglary and theft, including using children in the thefts to carry stolen items from the scene.
Fannin is being charged with third degree burglary, unlawful transaction with a minor, three counts of marijuana possession, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Russum is being charged with third degree burglary, and three counts of second degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
Fannin was lodged in the Graves County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
