A Paducah man is facing a long list of charges following a weekend crash in Marshall County.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, deputies on Sunday responded to Mt. Moriah Road in reference to a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the vehicle in a ditch wedged against a concrete bridge barrier.

According to police, the driver, Avery H. Croft, had the accelerator pressed down and the tires were spinning and engine revving. Croft allegedly refused deputies' commands and was yelling profanities at them.

Croft was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs 2nd offense, driving on a DUI suspended license, resisting arrest and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container.

Croft allegedly admitted using methamphetamine prior to the accident.
