Crash Leaves Murray Man Hurt, Charged with DUI

CALLOWAY - A single vehicle crash in Calloway County led to a DUI charge for a Murray man.

On Friday, Calloway County Dispatch received a report of a single vehicle accident with injuries at Gibbs Store Road.

Upon arrival, Calloway County deputies found a truck partially submerged in a creek in the 700 block of Gibbs Store Road. Calloway County Fire-Rescue personnel were contacted to assist in freeing the driver, 46-year-old Jamie Dunn of Murray.

Murray was taken to the Murray-Calloway County hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to authorities, Dunn had been traveling southbound on Gibbs Store Road when his vehicle left the west side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and came to rest in the creek.

Following his treatment, Dunn was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

He is charged with driving under the influence second offense with aggravated circumstances.

Calloway County Sheriff Nicky Knight reminds the public to always have a sober driver.
