A one-vehicle wreck in Graves County Friday afternoon left the driver injured. According to the Graves County sheriff's office, the crash happened at approximately 4:45pm on KY 303, approximately five miles south of Mayfield.

Deputies said Johnny J. Harrison of Mayfield was traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle, veered off the east side of the roadway and struck a mail box and a utility pole. The vehicle traveled into a creek and struck an earthen embankment before coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Harrison was transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He was later flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
