Crash With Deer Leaves Benton Man Injured

A car/deer accident Monday morning in Marshall County sent one person to a Tennessee hospital.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the collision happened around 11:30 am on US 641 near Kentuckiana Marine Sales. Deputies said a pickup truck, driven by 61-year-old Chris Stamper of Calvert City, was traveling south when a deer ran into his path.

The collision caused severe damage to the truck. Stamper was not injured in the crash but his passenger, 51-year-old William Morgan, of Benton, was flown by AIR EVAC to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
