Curtner was selected over nine other candidates. He has held the position of deputy coroner since 2001 and was appointed search and rescue coordinator one year ago. Curtner has served as rescue squad chief since 1995.
Curtner is a resident of Benton and has lived here since 1975. He and wife have two sons, one daughter and six grandchildren.
When asked about the selection Mr. Curtner stated, “I am honored to have the opportunity to continue my devotion to the best County in our commonwealth. I will work toward creating an agency that our citizens can be proud and supportive of.”
Curtner will begin his position August 17.
