Graves County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 38-year-old Joseph N. Garrigus, of Mayfield, Thursday on charges of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and incest. Deputies said the victim was under the age of 18.

The charges stem from a nearly year-long investigation that was led by Captain Jeremy Prince. Garrigus is accused of having a sexual relationship with a girl that he is related to.

Garrigus was arrested at his home without incident. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail and later released on a $50,000 surety bond.
