SALEM, KY - Kentucky State Police say it appears that an elderly Livingston County woman reported missing Monday suffered a massive, fatal heart attack just before her car slid down a 20-foot embankment. Her car could not be seen from the roadway, prompting loved ones to report her as missing.

Police say the vehicle of 88-year-old Mildred Croft of Salem was discovered on KY 838, two miles east of Lola Tuesday morning. She was reported missing at 6:30 pm Monday.

The Livingston County Coroner's Office has ruled her death as unrelated to the vehicle collision.
