“The continued growth of the donor wall is indicative of the support given by the community to the Endowment and the hospital,” said Keith Travis, VP of Development.
In the South Tower of MCCH there was a presentation given and the donor wall was unveiled. Names of individuals and businesses with a cumulative donation of $1,000 or more are placed on the wall, which is updated annually. This year, 26 new names were added increasing the total donors to 430 based on donations of $5.67 million.
“The names on the wall represent over a million dollars in new funds donated, and today was a celebration of continued support to MCCH as a not-for-profit hospital,” Travis said.
During the ceremony, MCCH CEO Jerry Penner told the audience of the many initiatives of the Endowment, including the hospice house which has been open for a year and the successes with that service, equipment that has been purchased, and announced the opportunity to support a new cancer center and equipment campaign.
