Both Ferries Shut Down By High Water
By West Kentucky Star Staff
HICKMAN, KY/CAVE-IN-ROCK, IL - The Dorena-Hickman ferry has been forced to shut down due to high water this morning on the Mississippi River.

This word comes as the Cave-In-Rock ferry was already closed on the Ohio River, also because of high water.

These could both be extended closures, with rising river levels and runoff from several more inches of rain expected through the weekend.
