Dorena-Hickman Ferry Re-opens at Noon Sunday

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry plans to resume service at noon on Sunday, after shutting down for an engine overhaul.

Work started last Monday, but mechanics completed the rebuild in about half the time they anticipated. The engines are being tested and adjusted today so the ferry can resume service on its normal winter schedule.

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry connects KY Highway 1354 at Hickman, Kentucky, with Missouri Route A and Route 77 near Dorena, Missouri.
