A Tennessee man was arrested in Marshall County Sunday on drug charges.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to the Purchase Parkway in the area of the 42 mile marker in reference to a vehicle stuck in the median. The driver, Ralph Travis of New Johnsonville, TN, told the deputy that he had missed his exit and was trying to turn around and got stuck.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Travis. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of controlled substance.

The deputy allegedly found boxes of Tramadol and Valium in the vehicle with a shipping box indicating that the medications had come from Asia. According to police, neither had prescription information.
