Driver Cited for Drugs, Speeding in Fulton

FULTON - A traffic stop by Fulton police Friday resulted in a Tennessee woman cited and recovery of marijuana.

KYTN reports that officers stopped a vehicle after it was clocked at 94 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone.

When approaching the vehicle, officers reported a strong smell of marijuana.

The driver, 32-year-old Nikita Flowers Jr., of Covington, Tennessee, told officers that his license was suspended and also that he had a pound of marijuana in the back floorboard of the vehicle.

Flowers was cited for speeding 24 mph over the limit, operating on a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.
