An escapee from Jefferson County Jail has been caught in Ledbetter.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, an investigation into the escape of 44-year-old Allen Beasley of Paducah led deputies to believe that he was at a home on Sharon Drive, and had barricaded himself in the crawl space.

On Friday, McCracken County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene as law enforcement released tear gas under the home. Beasley came out from the crawl space and was arrested for escape 2nd degree.

A woman at the home, 38-year-old Elizabeth Ann Roper, was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution 2nd degree.

Beasley and Roper were taken to McCracken County Jail.
