Final Afternoon of Excessive Heat

PADUCAH - The National Weather Service in Paducah continues to issue the excessive heat warning for the entire region through Sunday evening.

Maximum afternoon heat index values from around 105 to 110 degrees are expected with temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s. 

On Monday, relief is expected with showers after midnight and a high temperature of 81 during a rainy afternoon.

Tuesday may seem spectacular compared to the past week, with a sunny high of 81 and gusty drier winds.

Sunshine will be the rule the rest of the week, and temperatures will gradually rise to near normal highs in the upper 80s.
