A Graves County man is facing drug and other charges stemming from his weekend arrest.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers were dispatched on Saturday to the gravel pit at the end of North 15th Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle driving onto the property. When police got there, they found the vehicle unoccupied.

Officers searched the area and found 48-year-old Anthony Broach of Fancy Farm. Broach gave officers permission to search his vehicle, where they allegedly found suspected crystal methamphetamine.

Police said Broach failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail on charges of possession of controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, criminal trespassing and instructional permit violations.
