Fancy Farm Man Charged with Cultivating Marijuana

A Graves County man was arrested Wednesday after police found a marijuana growing operation on his property.

Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at 6827 State Route 1748 West in Graves County. During a search of the premises, Troopers found a marijuana grow with an estimated street value of $5,000, along with processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several firearms.

Forty-nine-year-old Michael Burgess of Fancy Farm was charged with cultivating marijuana five or more plants, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order.

Burgess was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
