Farm Equipment Hits I-69 Overpass in Mayfield

Traffic was backed up for several hours on US 45 in Mayfield after a piece of farm equipment struck an overpass Monday morning.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said a piece of farm equipment hit the overpass shortly after 11 a.m. at US 45 North and I-69, next to Cracker Barrel. Bridge inspectors checked the structure, but found that the damage to the structure was only superficial.

Traffic on I-69 was not affected.
