Fibonacci HempWood is set to host a ribbon cutting ceremony in Murray.

On Monday, August 26 at 9 AM, Fibonacci Hempwood, a foundational partner with Murray State University's Center for Agricultural Hemp, will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Murray location, at 301 Rockwood Road.

The event will include special guests Murray State Hutson School of Agriculture Dean Dr. Tony Brannon, and Congressman James Comer.

"It has been exciting to work with Greg Wilson and his Fibonacci HempWood team over the past two years to bring this hemp-related manufacturing business to Murray and the Murray State service region and to see the first product be manufactured.  His sustainable work with hemp fiber further helps us build out the growing and processing platform making Kentucky the epicenter of agricultural hemp." Said Brannon, "The Center for Agricultural Hemp at Murray State University is pleased to provide continuing assistance with this opportunity."

The founder of Fibonacci HempWood, Greg Wilson, says using hemp to make a wood composite is common sense, and bragged on Murray State University's mission of being an innovation hub for hemp within Kentucky, and nationwide.
"We are humbled by the warm welcome the community has provided and empowered by the local leaders such as Rep. Comer and Dean Brannon.  Now it is our turn to make the local community and the plant a little better." Said Wilson, "We plan to employ and buy local as much as possible while making a renewable building material to positively impact climate change."
