Fishing Tournament to Benefit 'KJae' Scholarship
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MAYFIELD - A virtual bass fishing tournament, benefitting the KJae Milliken Outdoor Scholarship, will be held May 7-9.

The tournament is being spear-headed by Brad Lawson, a local representative with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and West Kentucky FCA Outdoors. Lawson's nephew, KJae Milliken, was killed in a shooting last December in Graves County.

Lawson said KJae was and avid fisherman and hunter. He said KJae had even created his own YouTube channel.

The tournament will feature three divisions: adult, team (college, high school or group of 6) and youth (15 and under.) All smallmouth, spotted and largemouth bass will be accepted. Anglers are allowed to fish in any private or public water.

There will be daily prizes each night, and division prizes will be handed out at the awards ceremony.

The cost is $15 per angler, $60 per team of six. Click on the link below to register.

In addition to the tournament, West Kentucky FCA Outdoors will award $1,000 to five deserving high school graduates in western Kentucky, starting this year. Click on the link below to donate to the scholarship fund.
