Four Drug Arrests After Search of Calloway Home

MURRAY, KY - Four people face drug charges after police say a search of a Calloway County home revealed marijuana and cash.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, along with Murray Police officers and the Kentucky State Police seized about eight ounces of marijuana, $12,000 in cash, and assorted drug paraphernalia during a search of a home on Wiswell Road on Wednesday.

Following the search, deputies arrested 25-year-old Jessie Burkett of Murray, 21-year-old Chandler Huie of Farmington, and 18-year-old Julie Burgess of Benton. They were all charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and 2nd degree unlawful transaction with a minor. They were booked into the Calloway County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.

A minor at the home was also charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released to her father.
