BENTON, KY - Marshall Circuit Judge Dennis Foust on Tuesday announced that the trial of 19-year-old Tiffany Pittman will be continued until December.

Foust said the decision comes in light of new evidence that has been presented. The trial, which was set to begin Tuesday, August 28, has been rescheduled for December 4.

Pittman is charged with wanton murder, first-degree assault, DUI, and a number of traffic violations as well in the August 15, 2011 crash along US 68 in Marshall County that claimed the life of Stephen Jimmy Harper.
