A man was arrested Wednesday in Ballard County on numerous drug and gun charges, and more charges may soon be added.
The Ballard County Sheriff's Office, working with the Graves County Sheriff and Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement, conducted an investigation into the activities of 35-year-old Stacy Freeman. Less than five months ago, Freeman was arrested in Graves County for possession of a firearm and large quantities of methamphetamine. His arrest this week comes after he was found allegedly possessing large quantities of meth and two guns, and several stolen items have been recovered as well. Freeman is suspected of multiple burglaries and thefts in surrounding counties. Multiple agencies are continuing to investigate, and more charges are likely.
Freeman was taken to the Ballard County Jail, and is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance - methamphetamine while possessing a firearm, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a defaced firearm, resisting arrest, and improper equipment.
