Gilbertsville Man Faces Charges after Crash

A Gilbertsville man faces DUI and other charges, after crashing his car Tuesday evening.

At around 9:00 pm Tuesday, Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Gilbertsville Road.

Police said their preliminary investigation shows that 42-year-old James A. Campbell, of Gilbertsville was traveling west on Gilbertsville Road when for an unknown reason he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road. In an attempt to regain control, Campbell then overcorrected and went down an embankment, striking a tree.

Campbell was taken to the Marshall County Hospital emergency room, where he was treated for minor injuries and released. He was later arrested and charged with DUI 2nd offense with aggravated circumstances, driving on a suspended license, and not wearing a seat belt.

Campbell was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
