Golf Scramble Aug. 30 to Help Murray Hospice House

MURRAY, KY - The second Murray-Calloway Endowment for Healthcare Golf Classic will be held Thursday, August 30 at Oaks Country Club and will feature a new 4-person scramble format.

Proceeds from the tournament will again go toward the construction of a Residential Hospice House. Recently, five acres were acquired on KY 94 West and Robertson Road for the project.

“We are pleased to be moving forward with our Residential Hospice House, and hope this tournament will push us even closer to the goal of completion,” said Keith Travis, Vice President of Institutional Development.

The event begins at 11:30 am with sign-in, a silent auction and lunch. At 1:15 pm, the tournament will begin with a shotgun start.

Lunch is provided with registration, along with a goodie bag, range balls and a tournament shirt. Golf cart rentals are available if needed. Up to two mulligans per player may be purchased. On-course contests will include longest drive, most accurate drive and closest to the pin. Cash prizes will be awarded to the following finishers: First place, $600, Fifth place, $400, 10th place, $300, 15th place, $200 and last place, $100.

A four-person team is $220 and registration forms are available online at www.MCCHEndowment.org or by calling (270) 762-1908. Pre-registration is required. Hole sponsorships for $100 are also available.
