Storm, Winds Collapse Grain Bin Near Clinton
By WestKyStar Staff
CLINTON, KY - UPDATE: US 51 has now reopened, but motorists are asked to use extreme caution in the area due to the continued presence of emergency personnel.

US Highway 51 was closed at the south edge of Clinton in Hickman County this afternoon after a large grain bin collapsed from the storm and winds. The grain bin spilled grain into the roadway and knocked over power lines at the site on US 51 between the 6 and 7 mile marker. Part of Clinton was without power.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews assisted police and emergency management with setting up a detour and dealing with the spilled grain.
