A Graves County husband and wife have been arrested for stealing gasoline.

At approximately 2:30 Monday morning Graves County Deputy Brandon Collins was dispatched to a call of a suspicious vehicle at Bob and Ann’s Grocery on KY 97 in Sedalia. The caller said they saw a black pick-up truck in the lot of the grocery with two people around it that appeared to be stealing gas. The caller also said there were two 55-gallon barrels in the bed of the truck.

Collins was in route to the grocery when he met the truck traveling north on KY 97 and made a traffic stop. The investigation revealed that 107 gallons of gas had been stolen from Bob and Ann’s and both 55-gallon barrels were full of gas. Also located in the bed of the truck was an electric pump with a hose attached to it.

The subjects in the truck, 33-year-old Dusty Baker and his wife, 27-year-old Brittany Baker, both of Mayfield were arrested for receiving stolen property under $500 and lodged in the Graves County Jail.

The truck they were driving, the barrels of gasoline, the hose and the electric pump were all seized as evidence by the Sheriff’s Office.
