A two-vehicle crash Friday night in Mayfield injured three people and led to charges against one driver.

The Graves County Sheriff's Department responded at 9:10 pm to the intersection of Kentucky Highway 97 and Hay Market Corner Road,  where the road was blocked by a head-on collision.

According to deputies, 54-year-old Julie Melbye of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was driving south on Highway 97 when she met a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Gary Mangrum of Mayfield, but he was on the wrong side of the road.

Mangrum, Melbye and her daughter, 23-year-old Kalene O'Brien of Franklin, Wisconsin, were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Melbye's husband, David, was also in the vehicle but was not injured.

Due to his injuries, Mangrum was cited to court for DUI on a suspended license with aggravating circumstances.
