MAYFIELD, KY - A Graves County High School announcement meant for incoming freshmen inadvertently was sent to sophomores recently. A technical glitch caused the problem. In order to be clear, the ol has re-released the original, correct information concerning back-to-school events.

“After all their hard work in their first year of high school last year, we don’t want our sophomores thinking they’re supposed to attend freshman orientation again,” said GCHS Freshman Academy principal Matt Dobson. “We apologize for the error.”

Here is the correct schedule for GCHS back-to-school events:

July 16, Monday, GCHS, Seniors’ registration, fee payment, and schedule pick-up in the commons between 8 am and 2 pm.

July 17, Tuesday, GCHS, Juniors’ registration, fee payment, and schedule pick-up in the commons between 8 am and 2 pm.

July 19, Thursday, GCHS, Sophomores’ registration, fee payment, and schedule pick-up in the commons between 8 am and 2 pm.

July 23, Monday, GCHS, Freshman registration, fee payment, and schedule pick-up in the commons between 8 am and 2 pm.

July 23, Monday, Camp GCHS for incoming freshman, 2 pm to 6 pm.

July 23, Monday, GCHS, Freshmen Parent Orientation Night begins at 6 pm in the Eagles’ Nest Gymnasium. Break-out groups will be announced at that point.
