Any student new to the Graves County Schools may register at the individual school that student will attend on Wednesday, Aug. 1, between 9 a.m. and noon.
Graves County High School schedule pick-up takes place for one group of students per day. Principal Matthew Madding says each student must have an accompanying parent to sign for the electronic device the student will receive a few days later for the new school year. Schedule pick-up takes place between noon and 6:30 p.m. at Graves High. Seniors should come to the school Tuesday, July 24. Juniors pick up their schedules Wednesday, July 25. Sophomores should come to the school Thursday, July 26. Freshmen pick up their schedules Friday, July 27.
Graves County Middle School will host a back to school event for eighth-graders Thursday, Aug. 2, between noon and 6 p.m. Seventh-graders' back to school event will take place Monday, Aug. 6, between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Principal Jonathan Miller says, "Be prepared to stay an hour to meet teachers, attend sessions, complete paperwork, and get Chromebooks."
Graves County Central Elementary School hosts its kindergarten kick-off Sunday, July 29, at 2 p.m. Central's back to school night begins Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 5 p.m.
Fancy Farm Elementary School on Thursday, Aug. 2, will hold Camp Kindergarten from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and back to school night from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Farmington Elementary School hosts back to school night Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Lowes Elementary School will feature its back to school night Thursday, Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sedalia Elementary School holds back to school night Monday, Aug. 6, with pre-K set for 5 p.m., grades 1-2 at 5:30 p.m., and grades 3-6 at 6 p.m. Sedalia's Camp Kindergarten takes place Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 5 p.m.
Symsonia Elementary School hosts its back to school event Tuesday, Aug. 7, with kindergarten from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and grades 1-6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wingo Elementary School features its kindergarten welcome Tuesday, July 31, at 5:30 p.m. Back to school night takes place Thursday, Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteer training at Wingo will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, with a choice of 9 a.m., 1 p.m., or 6 p.m.
