Graves County Wreck Injures Driver, Passenger

MAYFIELD, KY - Wet roads are to blame for a one-vehicle wreck Sunday morning in Graves County that left two people injured. According to Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, the crash happened around 2:45 am on the Purchase Parkway near the 29 mile marker.

Deputies said 21-year-old Maranda Helsley was traveling north on the Parkway when her vehicle hydroplaned and she lost control. Her vehicle then went off the roadway and traveled approximately 25 yards, striking a tree before coming to rest.

Helsley and her passenger, 20-year-old, Andrea Ribelin, were transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
