Graves Couple Jailed on Meth, Gun Charges

A Graves County couple was arrested Tuesday on drug and firearms charges. According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, drug division detectives, the K-9 Unit and Probation and Parole officers went to the home of Toby and Elizabeth Adams on State Route 945 in Pottsville.

Deputies said Toby was inside the home but would not come to the door. After a search warrant was obtained, officers gained entry and located Adams sitting on his bed in the bedroom.

During the search, deputies said they located approximately ¾ pound of methamphetamine with a street value of $34,000. Detectives also found five firearms, two of them loaded. A small amount of Lortabs was found along with several meth pipes and digital scales.

Toby and Elizabeth Adams were lodged in the Graves County Jail and charged with firearm enhanced trafficking more than two grams of methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Toby Adams was additionally charged with five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
