Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said his office received a call of an unusual odor coming from a home on Willow Street in Mayfield. When deputies arrived they smelled a chemical odor that is associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The deputies located 32-year-old Greg Pannell of Mayfield inside the home hiding behind some furniture. A search warrant was then obtained to search the home where an active meth lab was found along with an amount of meth that had just been manufactured.
Pannell and 21-year-old Stephanie Gregory of Catron, MO were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of controlled substance, meth. Pannell was also charged with wanton endangerment because his mother reportedly was overcome from the fumes of the chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
Both Gregory and Pannell were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
