A burglary complaint led to two arrests and a large drug seizure Wednesday in Graves County.

According to Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, deputies responded to the 400 block of State Route 1748 East for a burglary in progress. Two men were seen running from the back of a home, carrying what looked to be long guns. The two men reportedly left in a black car.

After several minutes of searching, deputies arrived at a home in the 300 block of State Route 1748 East. While gathering evidence of the burglary, deputies found marijuana inside the home.

A search warrant was obtained and a search of the home was conducted. Police found 3.79 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $150 cash, two handguns and a rifle. Redmon said arrests are pending in this investigation.

Acting on a tip, deputies then responded to a home on Cardinal Drive, where they found the two burglary suspects. Both were apprehended without incident.

Twenty-year-old Brandon Ivie and 18-year-old Tristen Shearer were arrested and charged with 1st-degree burglary. Police said more arrests are pending from the burglary.

Deputies located several guns, including two shotguns believed to have been stolen from the home on 1748 East.
