Redmon said residents of Graves County have been experiencing numerous daytime burglaries and thefts. Late Monday night deputies received a tip that someone was attempting to sell two stolen Honda four wheelers that came from a home in the north part of the county.
Redmon and his deputies responded to a home in Lowes and found that it had been vacated by the Hale family. Redmon said information was obtained as to the whereabouts of the stolen four wheelers. Deputies then went to Henderson, KY and with the assistance of the Henderson Police Department a search warrant was conducted on a home there. The Hales were taken into custody without incident and have been charged in Henderson on various firearm and theft-related offenses.
During a search of the home numerous items were recovered and seized. Deputies acquired a U-Haul rental truck and loaded a large amount of stolen items onto the truck and returned to Graves County. Those items included the two Honda four wheelers, lawn mowers, lawn care equipment, tools, firearms and numerous pieces of electronics. A large amount of jewelry was also recovered.
Redmon said that investigators are in the process of inventorying all the items and checking the case files to find out who the items belong to. He said that when they are finished everyone will be contacted to either come identify their belongings or pick them up.
The Hales will be transported back to Graves County and lodged in the Graves County Jail after they appear in court in Henderson County.
