A man already jailed in Graves County is facing a new charge.

According to Graves County Jailer George Workman, jailers were conducting a spot check on a cell inside the jail Friday night when they found several items of paraphernalia inside the cell. The items included lighters, extra mats for bunks, extra blankets, a metal shower curtain rod that had been modified into a weapon and a homemade tattoo gun with ink.

Workman said an investigation was conducted and the items were found to belong to an inmate by the name of Brian Howard. Howard was charged with promoting contraband.

Howard was serving time on charges of failure to comply with the sex offender registry, fleeing and evading police and resisting arrest.
