According to a press release, the deputy noticed that the license plate on the vehicle did not come back to the vehicle it was attached to. The deputy also noticed that the plate was expired.
The deputy initiated a stop on the vehicle and, upon approach, noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The deputy conducted several field sobriety tests and determined Kestner was under the influence. He was then placed under arrest and placed into a patrol vehicle.
Kestner then allegedly began yelling and cursing at the deputy and kicking the window of the patrol vehicle. The deputy had to use pepper spray to get Kestner to stop kicking the window.
Kestner was charged with reckless driving, DUI, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and other charges. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
